Principal

BIO
Sean enjoys working hands on with his team to ensure they have all the tools they need to create quality work while doing it efficiently. Sean works diligently to push others to realize their full capabilities and be driven problem solvers. When he is not at the office, you can find Sean up in the Sierra Nevada mountains riding his mountain bike, hiking, or camping with his family.

ROLE
Sean’s responsibilities are project acquisition, design overview, supervision and training of production staff, specification writing, report generation and construction administration.

Mark Rawson P.E.

Project Engineer

BIO
Mark is a problem solver working to meet the client’s needs. He enjoys a challenging project that pushes the teams’ thoughts and expectations. Working from schematic design through final construction, Mark enjoys the relationships with the entire design and contracting team to ensure the best final product for the client. Outside of the office, Mark is constantly mountain biking, skiing, playing hockey, working on home projects, and spending time with his family.

ROLE
Mark’s involvement in projects range from load calculations through Trane Trace 3D Plus, equipment selection, drafting, control diagrams, specification writing, energy modelling, cost estimates, plan review or report generation, construction administration, and project management.

Reece Dassinger P.E.

Project Engineer

BIO
Reece Dassinger was born and raised in Reno Nevada. His passions include bowhunting, wakeboarding at Lake Almanor, Black Rock City, swing dancing and skydiving. Reece enjoys the problem-solving process of design in order to implementing solutions that cater to the owner, contractor, and longevity of the building. He graduated from the University of Nevada with a Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering and a minor in business administration.

ROLE
Reece’s involvement in projects include plumbing design, unit/fixture selections, drafting, specification writing, and plan review.

Matt Escola E.I.

Engineer Intern

BIO 
Matt loves learning about how things work and putting things together. He likes to learn about how mechanical and plumbing equipment function and work together to make a complete system. He likes designing systems to meet the customers’ needs with concern for practicality of installation. Outside of work he enjoys working on cars and building things in his garage. When time permits, he likes to get away from the city to go exploring, off-roading, fishing, and camping. He is an avid national park explorer and tries to visit as many as possible.

ROLE
Matt’s involvement in projects range from the design of plumbing and mechanical systems, coordinating design with other disciplines. Matt also performs engineering calculations including heat load calcs, gas flow and pressure drop calcs, liquid flow and pressure drop calcs.

Dalton Grisell

Designer

BIO 
Dalton is a Nevada native who outside of the office, Dalton enjoys spending time outdoors, with loved ones whether it’s going on hikes or playing video games. Being a former college baseball player throughout his college career, Dalton is passionate about working out and loves to lift weights.

ROLE
Dalton’s involvement in projects range from the design of mechanical systems, running load calculations, performing miscellaneous engineering calculations, and preparing official company construction documents.

Cameron McGifford

Designer

BIO 
Cameron loves looking for new experiences; travelling to areas he has never been before, learning about new technology, and meeting new people. He enjoys being on construction sites, where he can help solve issues right in front of him and streamline work with contractors. After work, he enjoys escaping to the outdoors, appreciating the plants and wildlife. Cameron finds himself right at home in Reno, with its lakes, forests, and deserts all within a short drive.

ROLE
Cameron creates CAD drawings, runs calculations, selects equipment, and performs duties as a part of the construction administration of projects.

Corby Cobb E.I.

Engineer Intern

BIO 
Corby strives to learn new concepts and finding answers. He continuously is developing tools and techniques that will increase efficiency and limit the chance for errors. He believes in building processes to bridge the gap between different software packages to create a consistent design throughout the SGF team. In his personal time, he is an avid adventurer. Exploring in mountains of California and the desert of Nevada by bicycle, bikepacking, hiking, backpacking and trail running.

ROLE
Corby’s involvement in projects range from load calculations using Trane Trace 3D plus, unit selections using Manual S or vendor software such as LG’s LATS, design development using Excel, AutoCAD, and Revit. Communicating the design by plan review and report generation from initial coordination with architects through construction with contractors.

Brian Biersdorff E.I.

Project Manager

BIO 
Brian likes to spend his free time in the outdoors either mountain biking, rock climbing, fishing or skiing, usually with his dog Bear. While not in the outdoors Brian likes to work on house projects and enjoy watching movies. He grew up in Nevada City where he was able to explore and find my passion for the outdoors.

Brian’s involvement in projects range from project management, load calculations, unit selection, drafting, control diagrams, specification writing, energy modelling, cost estimates, report generation, and construction administration.

Ayme Renslow

Administrative Assistant

BIO

In her free time, Ayme takes full advantage of what Reno, and the surrounding area has to offer. She enjoys being outdoors as much as possible and tries to get a lake day in when possible.

ROLE
Ayme’s role in the office includes providing support to the SGF Teams, handles accounting, insurance, as well as assists on the initial stages of our project to make sure every aspect of the project runs smoothly and efficiently for the SGF team and our client. She strives to ensure that all interactions between the organization and others are positive and productive.
